History

It’s the year 1974 and construction is being completed on what will be RAMADA’S first hotel in Maine.

The Inn consisted of one hundred twenty guest-rooms on two levels with an outdoor pool in the center courtyard, a dining room for approximately and a lounge to seat another hundred. Two banquet, meeting rooms that could accommodate two hundred, with a kitchen of enormous space.

In 1984 we completely enclosed our pool with the addition of a Jacuzzi, sauna and an interior courtyard, sometime later we added an exercise room.

In June of 1989 we began construction of a fifteen thousand square foot, two story meeting and banquet facility, it is adjacent to our current meeting space and will allow us to serve formal banquets for up to five hundred plus on the first level. Our second level consists of five meeting rooms that are able to meet the varying needs of our customer. From a living room arrangement to an over sized fixed conference room, a classroom that offers the best in lighting and sound, to the posh-ness of the Executive Boardroom with it’s over sized chandelier and the excitement of a full blown Theater with it’s twelve foot screen and it’s Dolby surround sound system.

In 2003 we began remodeling all of our 117 Guest Rooms, adding a new front entrance to the conference center and a new, grand, Port Cochere to our Hotel entrance. We were recognized with the presentation of the prestigious “Ramada Pinnacle Award”, given to us at the Ramada International Convention in both 2003, 2004 & 2005.
